Port on VIC2-2FXS generates CLID tone; how to disable?

Hi there

I have an analog phone connected to this card. The card is located in a 2821 router registered into call manager.

When a call is presented to the analog port and I answer, a fax like tone is generated for 1 second. I think it may be the card sending a CLID tone to the phone to display it. Do you know how to disable this?

I was expecting a parameter to be present in the voice-port configuration.

Hi,

Most likely is not clid that you are hearing, but an echo canceller disable (guard tone). These are tones are used by modem and fax to disable echo cancellers that may be present in the circuit. Is there something in the CM configuration that relates the port to fax ?
