Postage Machine/FXS port

I am trying to setup a postage machine on a FXS port (MGCP GW). I have already verified that echo cancellation is on. However my vendor is asking me to verify Silent Elimination and the port can accept a baud rate greater than 38400. Can some give me some insight into setting up a postage machine on an FXS port.

When the fxs port is in the same GW as your T1, the call will be "hairpinned", the router will not process the audio at all, and any kind of modem/fax or other device will work.

You only need to verify that you have network-clock-participate and -select commands in place.

You will need this configuration if the outgoing pots interface isn't on the same router:

Our DSPs can't promise V.90 or V.92 speeds (38400), but you may be able to accomplish them with modem passthrough.
