POTs lines setup Cisco CM

So just got used to getting PRI's going in Call Manager now I got one location where there are 5 pots lines.  I have pretty much followed the same config.  Under Gateway I setup the lines as "loop start".  Here are few things that are confusing me:

1- When I click on the Pots line port in the call manager I see the IP address from the serial interface of the router but it should be the loop back IP of the router.

2- After I finished this Cisco CM added some lines in the router config, is that all needed pretty much:

POTs lines setup Cisco CM

1- When I click on the Pots line port in the call manager I see the  IP address from the serial interface of the router but it should be the  loop back IP of the router.  I checked my bind statements and the both read:

mgcp bind control source-interface Loopback0

mgcp bind media source-interface Loopback0

But for some reason pots lines are showing the IP of the serial interface.

2- After I finished this Cisco CM added some lines in the router config, is that all needed pretty much?

1. I suggest you do a no mgcp and mgcp to see if the gateway will register with the correct interface

2. You dont need dial-peers for mgcp gateways. All your call routing is done by CUCM.

Thanks already tried that infact tried to remove all the configuration and put it back in.

I didn't add the dial peers they showed up after I configured the CM.

Yeah, if you have your GW configured to get his config from CUCM, you'll get those dial-peers, you can tell CUCM created them by the DP numbers

This ones:

dial-peer voice 911 pots [I ADDED THIS FOR 911]

destination-pattern 911

port 0/0/1

forward-digits 3

!

dial-peer voice 9911 pots [I ADDED THIS FOR 9911]

destination-pattern 9.911

port 0/0/1

forward-digits 3

Are definitely not created by CUCM, and are not required at all.

I'm assuming you're using MGCP, correct?

Ah gotcha ok I'll remove the 911 dial peers then.  Yes using MGCP.

Weird not sure if it was related to some BGP issue with one of the other data VLAN's that I was workign on, but that got fixed and I deleted all the ports and recreated them and they showed up with the loop back IP.  Well they still showed the Serial Interface IP but it showed up as "Rejected".  So I saved it and went back into it and the loopback IP showed up there.
