Preserving voicemail greetings and recorded names.

We will be rebuilding our Unity environment and moving to unified messaging. We want to preserve our end user personal greetings and recorded names. Does anyone have any experience with this? We are considering using a virtual image of the existing voicemail message store. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. We are on Unity 4.2 and we have a primary/secondary build with a third server acting as the message store.

Rgds,

Vicky

Hi Vicky,

Just to add a little clip/link to the great info from Jaime (+5 points for this Jaime :)

Have a look at the Helpfiles for DIRT. Here is an excerpt;

Most Unity data is saved in this process. This includes all subscriber data, call handlers, interviewers, voice names, greetings, passwords, switch configuration information, etc. optionally you can backup report data and in the case of an Exchange based system, subscriber messages as well. Only a few specific items and settings are not preserved during the restore process.

From this most excellent DIRT Helpfiles link;

Hope this helps!
