I want to do PRI-QSIG with Ericssion MD110,i am having CUCM and Ericssion MD110 EPABX already has PRI line terminated on it i have Cisco router with E1/T1 Card, i just wanted to know
1)If already PRI is terminated on MD110 how will it come on my E1/T1 card ? or do i need 1 more PRI(as my vendor says) so bit confused
2)If any one know what will be required(Like any Card, license etc) from Ericssion MD110 end for the PRI QSIG to happen
3)How will be the physical connectivity
THanks in Advance
Number 1: Yes you need a E1/T1 port for the ISP connection and a second one to get the PRI QSIG Trunk up between the cisco GW and the Erricson PBX.
Have a look at the following document.
Thanks for the reply but the PDF u gave is for 2 sites having EPABX but my scenerio is
HO(Call Manager )--------- Remote Site(Ericssion EPABX 110)
HO has Call Manager
Remote Site has ERICSION EPABX with PRI line
Now i need to do PRI QSIG with this Remote site,so i want to know if i would require 2 PRI lines on Remote Site ?
a. u need to conenct back to back your E1 link from Ericssion to E1 card on router.
b. for Eriscsson only that vendor can help you. For Cisco router, you need to have VWIC cards with E1 interface.
c. On VWIC card, there is a RJ-45 jack available on which 1,2 and 4,5 are the pairs.
If u are using ISR G2[ 29xx, 39xx ] series router, u need to have Unified Communications license.
Sory for late reply so what i understand is i would require
1)2 PRI Lines(1 going to EPABX and other Coming via EPABX on my E1/T1 Card)
2)I have understood the physical connectivity thanks
please confirm the 1st point again
Yes you need 2 PRI Lines(1 going to EPABX and other Coming via EPABX on my E1/T1 Card.
On VWIC card, there is a RJ-45 jack available on which 1,2 and 4,5 are the pairs.
You E1 card on EPABX would be having two ports. One port would speak to Service Provider while second port on Ericsson would connect to E1 port on the cisco router.
and this E1 connects to your ISP?
You will need a 2nd port their as to connect and E1 Trunk to the Cisco GW on the VWIC card
Simply connect a straigth ethernet cable between Router E1 port and Ericsson. If it works , great else cut the cable and swap 1,2 and 4,5 .
No E1 does not connect to ISP, simple PRI terminated in EPABX and cable from EPABX there comes cable which goes in E1/T1 Card.
OK so you have
[EPAB] ----E1 PRI---[VGW]--PRI to ISP --->>>>>>
So the Cisco VGW has 2 x E1 PRI ports.
The EPABX has 1 x E1 PRI port
