I have a 3825 voice gateway router with a Valcom public address system off of one of its FXS ports.
When users dial 89 from any phone, it is forwarded immediately to the PA system.

dial-peer voice 89 pots
(we are using Cisco UCM 6, and the software version on the router is 12.4(11))
Periodically, when a user activates the PA system, we will hear loud beeping, and the tranmission is interrupted. Thinking there was an issue with the Valcom, I replaced it, and also replaced some wiring, but the beeping remains. Reloading the gateway restores functionality.
