Problem with super provider

I would like to configure the super provider for the AC User but, when I don't assiciate the devices to him, the CTI function doesn't work.

When I good understand by activating of the flag "Super Provider" the association should happen dinamically.

What is here wrong?CCM 4.2(3)

Hi,

You are correct, CTI Super Provider dynamically associates/disassociates devices to/from an application control list, so this list/set of devices could be a variable list/set. I dont think this apply for AC, in AC its clearly stated that association should be done manually. I believe it works for other JTAPI app, but not for AC, you need to associate manually the Pilot Points and IP Phones will check with AC|CTI guys and will give u a valid reason.

Hi,

Just by configuring user as superProvider enable is not sufficient to take control of the device. Apart from configuring, application AC need to invoke JTAPI's CiscoProvider.createTerminal(deviceName)

method which will include device in application's domain and then application can use this device like any other device. Configuration gives application permission to invoke API listed above.

We create an DDTS for that:

CSCsc11434 Fixed in 1.4.1 ES10

Externally found enhancement defect: Attendant console user with CTI super Provider attribute

To turn on the feature, the ACServer.properties under Program Files/Cisco/CallManagerAttendant in each of your CCM servers file needs to have the following line added manually:

USE_SUPERPROVIDER=true

I believe you should restart TCD for that.

Be aware of: CSCsc06487

Symptom:

-----------

CTI spikes to 100% in an AC application intensive environment.

Condition:

------------

This situation occurs when Customers exceed the AC and CTI scalability limitations mentioned in the following links.

Thanks for the informations.

Do you know the scalability limit of the Attendant Console 1.5? I found only the data sheets for 1.2, 1.3 and 1.4.
