Problems with the IP Phone 9971

I have a problem with the CISCO IP Phone 9971.

It started successfully but i have the following issuesÇ

When I press the CONTACT BUTTON, it gives me the following message:

CONTACTS NOT AVAILABLE

Another Issue is that i dont have the CTL and ITL Files.

The security mode that appers on the screen is: Non Secure

LSC: Not installed

My environment is: a router 2951 ISR with CALL MANAGER EXPRESS 8.6 , a switch and the phones.

Hi Edson,

Have you configured the directory under voice-register global

eg :- url directory http:///localdirectory

Hi Edson,

you are getting this error when you are trying to access directories/contacts right.

if thats the case then you would need to do the following, go to the router and configure the following and see it helps

voice register global

url directory http:///localdirectory

How would be the configuration of the directory under voice-register global?

would be like this:

url directory http://<142.102.66.254>/localdirectory

Just to clarify, the command starts with: url directory    , right?

And what is " localdirectory "?

And one more thing.

When I connect the CISCO Video Camera on the IP Phone 9971, it gives me a message like:

" CISCO Unified Video Camera has been detected but it is disabled by the administrator"

Did I missed a configuration on the voice register global here?

What would be this command?

Done !!!

The problem was on the voice register global

There where steps missing.

The only thing to do was to enable the CISCO Unified Video Camera by running the following commands>

Router# configure terminal

Router(config)#voice register global

Router(config-register-global)#camera

Router(config-register-global)#video

Router(config-register-global)# create profile
