Purpose of UNITY-UM-USR-E

Hi,

I am using Unity Messaging system 4.0(5) with Exchange and ordered UNITY-UM-USR-E for additional devices. Could you please explain me the main purpose of UNITY-UM-USR-E and how to run this on unity server?

Regards,

Mady

Re: Purpose of UNITY-UM-USR-E

Mady,

This is a license for 1 Unified Messaging subscriber. One is required for each Unified Messaging subscriber on your system. When you receive the license, you will go to the website indicated on the certificate, enter you information and request a license file. You will receive the license file via email. After receiving the file, you can open up the Licensing snap-in on the Unity server (Start > Programs > Unity > Licensing) and go to Action > Install license files.

Hope this helps. If so, please rate the post.

Re: Purpose of UNITY-UM-USR-E

Hi Brandon,

Thanks for the quick reply.

Do we need to reboot the Unified Messaging server once the license is installed?

Thanks

Mady

Mady,

You do not have to restart the Unity server, but you will need to restart Unity in order for the licensing changes to take effect.
