Put incoming call on hold

Hi,

We are running Cisco CallManager 4.2 with 7941 and 7961 IP phones and I was wondering if there is a way to place an incoming call directly on hold without having to answer it first.

Hi Justin,

You can do it with a Contact Center Application (IPCC) or with Attendant Console using Broadcast Hunting Algorithm.

Another approach that may work for you on an incoming call is to use the IDivert softkey to send the call directly to voicemail.

Thanks for the response, but I was looking to send callers straight to hold rather than voicemail.
