qos for Polycom soundpoint 550

Hello,

I have to configure QOS on our catalyst 3560 switches.  We have a mix of cisco and polygom ip phones.  Can I use the auto qos or not?  Are there other things to consider when using cisco and non-cisco voip phones?

How does Polycom tag their RTP traffic?  If it tags it with a DSCP of EF like Cisco phones do, then you should be okay to use auto-qos.  Though you'd want to use 'mls qos trust dscp' instead of 'mls qos trust device cisco-phone' won't work with the Polycom phone.
