Does anyone know of any figures based around any impact on CUCM when using Route Patterns and using the delete/insert sections. The reason is that we have the following set up per site
Route Pattern is 123.xxxx (123 site code) which is a On-net pattern to one of our offices. This in turn points to a RL which contains two Route Groups - ON-Net GW (1st choice) and PSTN GW (2nd Choice). if the 2nd choice PSTN, is used with the original number being changed by the RG_PSTN
This method results in us having a large number of RG`s and RL as every ON-Net route Patterns has it`s own RL and RG`s due to the translation per site
I`m looking to change this so to reduce the RL and RG`s down to a single one - works in testing however it relies on the On-Net number at the Route Pattern level being changed to the full telco number for every call opposed to the current method of only when there is an overflow to telco
Question -Is there any performance issues, guide lines etc, previously before the On-Net number is only changed by the RG_telco if the call has to go over the PSTN -rare however with my purposed method as mentioned, the number is always changed
many thanks as always
