"Unknwon" in call history

hiii Experts.....

                             I have 8 digit plan ...first four as location code and rest four as local code.....whenever im dialing the local intercom phones

     using all 8digit (means station code plus 4 digit) and going to call history it shows the called party name as aved in cucm(means the ok scenario)....but when the local number is being dailed by only 4 didgit number then in call history it shows Unknown and doesnt resolve the called party name.......this is happening every time in 9971 but sometimes in 8945.....plz plz help

If the directory numbers are 8 digits are you using a translation pattern to translate the 4 digit number into the full 8?  If the call goes have to go through a translation pattern what modifications are being done to the called number?

i got the solution.....as after upgrading the phone load it was solved.....it was bug as declated by TAC

It would be usefull to add the bug id to the thread for conclusion and documentation purposes.

In addition to what robert said,  pls mention the problematic version and the updated version of IP Phone firmware as well.
