RAID controller issue after replacement harddisk in Unity
End user report one of the harddisk in Unity server display error. The Unity server is a HP server that have a RAID controller defined in TWO array. Array A have two harddisk with 18GB in slot 0 and 1. Array B have three harddisk with 36.4GB in slot 2,3 and 4.
I found out the harddisk in slot 4 display error and I unpluged it and replaced it with another 36.4 GB harddisk. The array B does not re-create the system.
And I find out the member of the Array B change from slot 2,3 and 4 to 2, 3 and 6.
Slot 5 is the tape backup system.
I don't know how to fix it, Can someone help me to solve this issue?
Later, I find out the release note for replacement of harddisk in Unity server-"Do not replace a disk in a RAID with a disk that contains data" and I put the replacement unit that have data in it.
Can I hardcode the hard disk ID to 6 and place it in slot 4 in order to allow the Array B to perform rebuild data. Or hwo to change the RAID member to its original setup.
