hi,
can we just reboot the publisher but not the whole cluster?
as we need to replace some parts for the publisher only...

Hi Nolan,
Yes u can do that.
Prior to switching off Publisher,
a.take backup through DRS
b.check the Sub are configured in Call manager group and have neccessary services activated .
what is CUCM version u are using?

Hi Nolan,
from the earlier post , I understood that u want to change some hardware in Publisher .
There is no point rebooting the entire cluster if your system is in production and changes need to be done only on Pub.Secondly, by registering the phones on Sub, u can check the functionality of these servers as well.
for booting entire cluster, u need to have maintenance downtime.

Certaintly you can just bring down a pub if maint. needs to be performed. Just remember that if any changes are made while the pub is down they will be lost.

You cannot do any kind of changes thru the CCMadmin while the PUB is down, and UFF does sync once the PUB is back.
