What additional prefix should I use for off-net calls. I have 1XXX like on-net calls. 9XX.1XXX like inter-site on-net calls, [2345780]XXXXX as city,intercity,etc. Can I use prefix like "*"?
What you will recomend for me?

Hi,
Your dial-plan will depend on which country you are in...
Eg for US... you will have things like
911
9911 emergency calls
9[2-9]XXXXXX Local calls
91[2-9]XX[2-9]XXXXXX long distance calls
9011!
9011!# for International calls
For UK dial-plans
999
9999 emergency
90[1-8]XXXXXXXXX Land line calls
907XXXXXXXXX mobile
90[9]XXXXXXXXX premium rate calls
900!
900!# International calls
HTH...

Your tone is a bit rude! I have taking time to post all that and you respond like this!
This is a poor attitude! Dont keep this up!
Anyways
Callmanager does not use the prefix * you can only use . X # or !

dude, ccm can use * as prefix, but I want to know, is it normal? because there are a lot of issued like SRST, where symbol * is not the normal character on the router dial-peer.

webstd,
to answer your question, I only use * as the leading digit for my system numbers that stay local to CCM only. ie meet-me, call-park. There is issues with tons of products, such as Unity Mailboxes, SIP Proxy, Gatekeeper, H323 gateway... Avoid it and just use 9 or 8 like the rest of the world.
Cheers,
Chad
