We are installed IM presence& jabber version 10.5 (Primary & secondary),when users attempt to login in Windows/Jabber any client they are using primary presence IP address,my queries are instead of giving ipaddress in a client is it possible to give the hostname? how to configure the redudancy ipaddress for hostname,assume that in case of primary presence goes down secondary should replicate ,without logging out from the client.clarify me is it possible to achieve!!!!

You can do this within DNS, you add 2 records to your DNS server eg.
jabber.yourcompany.com - IM Primary IP Address
jabber.yourcompany.com - IM Secondary IP Address

Starting from 10.0 you also have the presence redundancy group.

For login Jabber client uses cisco-uds SRV record which should be built per the install guide in your DNS. For all service redundancy the configuration is defined in UC services on CUCM server (assuming version 9+).
