Re: Redundant CM6.1 - Licensing

Please explain what do you mean redundant CM solution. If you have one cluster, you dont need to replicate IP Phones licenses.

One cluster.

What about LIC-CM6.1-7816= (License Unified CM 6.1 7816 Appliance, 500 seats

)? I should need two of these for the two HP 7816 servers, right?

Re: Redundant CM6.1 - Licensing

still not clear. if you have only 1 cluster the licensing server replicates the information to all servers in cluster. you only need the process node license per server if you want to start CCM service

if you mean you want to have another cluster with exact same config in case working cluster crashes, then yes, licensing is completely separate

Re: Redundant CM6.1 - Licensing

You need node license for each server in the cluster, so you would need LIC-CM6.1-7816= for every server (or whatever the server model is). Unless you go with CUWL licensing, which gives you unlimited (up to supported) number of node licenses. You do not need to duplicate the DLU licenses.

Chris
