Redundant Gateway configuration

We have two 3745's we like to use as redundant h323 gateways.

Also use xmedius (hence the h323)

Can someone point me to a doc or explain the best way to set up redundant gateways with callmanager.

we have two local t1's and two long distance pri's so we're planning on splitting those resources between the two 3745's.. any tips would be appreciated.

thanks!

Re: Redundant Gateway configuration

Here's one way to accomplish redundancy:

1. Create the gateways in Callmanager

2. Add each gateway to a route group

3. Create a route list for your local T1s. Add the route groups containing the T1s to the route list and order them as you want them used. Depending on the way you order the route groups this could accomplish load balancing and failover or failover only.

4. Point your local route patterns to the route list you just created.

5. The same steps can be repeated for the LD T1s.

Hope this helps. If so, please rate the post.
