Looks like there are some 3rd party apps out there that will tie into CUCM and allow you to remotely
view/manage/control IP Telephones.
- Has anyone had any 1st hand experience with any of these products?
- How dangerous is it to give these products access to the CUCM database?
TIA!
Richard.

Were you talking about Berbee RPC (Remote Phone Control)?
It's just like any CUCM applications, such as Phone Designer, Click-to-Call, etc.
Not sure what you mean by "dangerous".
It's like asking "how dangerous to give Office 2007 access to Windows operating system?"

I don't know that one specifically but I have come across http://www.voipintegration.com/ucsoftware.aspx
Tried to investigate BERBEE but looks like they might be out of business?
By 'dangerous' I mean, how well are these apps written. What is the likelyhood of them shredding my CUCM DB? Has anyone used one of these products for more than a trial period? It's interesting that I dont' see a CISCO development partner in this category. Might not be worth the risk?
