I have inherited a Cisco system (router and switch) that has VLANS to control both voice and data. It is running the Cisco Unity Express to manage some things (very odd the way it is setup). I am running into an issue right now with the auto attendant.
The branch would now like the auto attendant to be removed and the phones just to dial the hunt group to ring to 3 specific phones. The hunt group is setup and working properly but I cannot figure out how to remove the auto attendant feature completely. The feature seems to be controlled by the unity express, but I have no way of completely deleting the auto attendant in there and just letting the phones ring to the hunt group. In the config, the main number that rings to the AA is told to forward to the hunt group, but doesn't and goes through the AA first. In the unity express, the check box for the AA to delete it is greyed out.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, please advise if more info is needed to assist.
Thank you for the reply. When the dial-peer is removed, the calls come in as a busy signal and are not routed to the hunt group. Here is some of the setup:
Line 1 ends in 4673
Line 2 ends in 7092
Voice translation-rule 1 /4673/ /4673/
Voice translation-rule 2 /7092/ /4673/ (tells calls that are 7092 to go to 4673 correct?)
dial-peer sends 4673 to the unity express AA IP
ephone-dn 1 forwards 4673 to hunt group 1
When line 1 is called directly, it rings to hunt group number TWO not number one. When line 2 is called, it sends it to the AA... This confused me. I can link parts of the config if you need to see them.
