Replicate DB from subscriber to Publisher

Hi!

I need to know if it is possible to replicate the database (initial setup, gateway, partition, CSS, pattern, IP Phones, etc.) of a mode subscriber CUCM 8.6 to a new installation of CUCM publisher. Unfortunately a few days ago the CUCM Publisher lost all data integrity in Raid5, and there is no backup for FTP.

The idea is that these same configuration as the subscriber has to be replicated in the new publisher and to make changes.

Best regards.

You cant do that but you might be able to take the backup of a subscriber and restore to the publisher.

Yes you can restore the Publisher database from the Subscriber database starting CUCM version 8.6(1). Here are step by step instructions:

http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/support/docs/unified-communications/unified-communications-manager-callmanager/116946-technote-product-00.html

Make sure you follow all the instructions accurately. Some components may not restore and may need manual intervention like service activations etc. but generally it should work.

Hi!

thank you very much for your answer.

I have a question:

the subscriber currently is in production, if I perform the steps in the guide you provided;

Can impact the operation of the phone?

Regards

Hi,

there won't be any impact on phones currently registered to Subscriber while restoring.

Once the Publisher is restored, you need to activate the services manually since DRS restore won't start the services.
