Reserving numbers in CUCM

Our organization is transitioning Centrex lines regularly to VoIP.  To be able to work ahead, it would be nice to configure these phones with their numbers ahead of time without impacting other VoIP users' ability to make calls to that number while its still hosted by Centrex (i.e. Not having the call go to the new VoIP line while the user is still using the Centrex line).

 

We've tried assigning numbers to the phones and placing those numbers in a partition that's not assigned to any calling search space, but somehow the (voip-to-voip) calls still wind up on the device.  Any advice?

Check again your CSS and

Check again your CSS and partitions, and run a DNA test.

They are actually in a partiton other than <none>, right??
