Absolutely not, you need to restore on the EXACT SAME VERSION from which you took the backup.

Hi Java,

But what if you have a brand new load of CUCM 7.1(5b) and your backup is from 6.1(3) and you need to pull the configuration data?  How are you supposed to go about restoring that data?

Thanks,

James

You upgrade to the exact same version you have your fresh install, take a backup and then restore.

There is no way to restore backups if they're not in the EXACT same version from which they were taken from, that includes any ES or SRs that you might have installed.

Other than that, it means you need to use BAT to manually export and import data.
