Dear Experts,

Can I use the backup I got from the CUCM 6.1 (via Disaster Recovey System page) and resore it to te CUCM 5.1 directly?

Re: Restore to different CUCM version

Absolutely not, you need to restore on the EXACT SAME VERSION from which you took the backup.

Re: Restore to different CUCM version

Hi Java,

But what if you have a brand new load of CUCM 7.1(5b) and your backup is from 6.1(3) and you need to pull the configuration data?  How are you supposed to go about restoring that data?

Thanks,

James

Re: Restore to different CUCM version

You upgrade to the exact same version you have your fresh install, take a backup and then restore.

There is no way to restore backups if they're not in the EXACT same version from which they were taken from, that includes any ES or SRs that you might have installed.

Other than that, it means you need to use BAT to manually export and import data.
