Restoring a CUCM backup to a new server for migration

Hi

We are migrating from CUCM 6.2 (1 PUB and 2 SUBS) to vmware 8.6. My migration strategy is to restore a backup of 6.2 on another MSC server with the exact same specs and version. The spare server runs with only the default node licenses. I would then delete the Subscribers on the spare 6.2 so I could do an IP change to the new 8.6 ip, upgrade the 6.2 to 8.6 do a backup then restore that backup to the new 8.6 cluster. Basically, I want to run parellel clusters! The issue I’m having is that when I try to delete the Subscribers from the spare server so I can do an ip change to the new 8.6 Publisher, I get the following error “Delete failed, invalid license”. Would I need too license the spare server inorder to delete the subscribers?

Thanks in advance

Marc

Not sure if you do need to have valid licenses to delete a SUB but why don't you just change the IP once you're on 8.6??
