Restrict Cisco Jabber MRA from calling through Enterprise Network (Toll Fraud)
Our customer is deploying cisco expressway-c & e and allowing all employees to use cisco jabber client. Currently, They need to restrict Cisco jabber clients that are registered outside the network from calling through the company cisco voice gateway (toll fraud), However any employees that operate cisco jabber inside the network to have external access according to their privileges.
Is there a mechanism or policy that could be applied to expressway or call manager to restrict that?.
It is not exactly toll fraud however Customer wants to restrict employees that are registered from outside to call PSTN Calls from the company GW and only to call internally among each other. I was thinking if we could use the Call policy feature in expressway to do the job and restrict 9* for calling PSTN calls, what do you think?.
I am not sure how toll fraud will happen in the first place. Jabber can only be used if you authenticate the client to Exp C/E which proxies your registration to CUCM and eventually to AD if its AD integrated. If someone gets a hold of your credentials, then there are other problems you need to look at.
