Ringback tone with SIP trunk over CUCM

Hi Gens:

I am current have a big issue that I ever met before, then call process was from a 6921 ip phone through CUCM-- SIP Trunk-- GW to External Mobile phone.

The issue is, when call out to a Switched off mobile phone, the IP Phone can't hear the correct ringback tone either Busy Tone nor Service Provider's Ringtone, it hears normal Ringback tone same as when the mobile phone swithed on instead.

Has anyone met the same problem? I'd tested with different GWs all through SIP Trunk, but they all came with same result.

The configuration details as following:

voice service voip

allow-connections h323 to h323

allow-connections h323 to sip

allow-connections sip to h323

Hi , Did you ever get this

Hi , Did you ever get this sorted

I have a similar issue calling out via ISDN30 but using a SIP Trunk to talk to it.

I have tried

signal forward unconditional

voice call send alert

tone ringback alert-no-pi

It seems that the carrier automatically sends an alerting message. So I'm wandering whether this might be normal behaviour.

Great stuff Mark. Makes sense

Great stuff Mark. Makes sense since when the phone is switched off, it is early media that we should get..IE voicemail etc not ring back..This deserves our special VIP endorsement :)

Ringback tone with SIP trunk over CUCM

Yes I have expereinced this too..Even when you call an external number and the user rejects the call, you hear a normal ringback tone over sip trunks..I think the issue is that the ITSP sends a 183 session progress or 180 ringing even before knowing what the state of the called device is..

You can send us a debug ccsip messages for a test call and we will be able to know exactly what is going on

Ringback tone with SIP trunk over CUCM

Hi.

In the past hi had a similar issue with a mobile operator, I sovled this issue with tone ringback alert-no-pi in outgoing dial-peer configuration and voice call send-alert at global configuration level

Try it and resend a debug ccsip messages output.

Thanks

Carlo

Hi,

Could you please configure 'signaling forward unconditional' under voice service voip and check how it works?
