Hi,

we have a customer who purchased CCM 4.2 and IP phones: 7911 for the Factory part.

He is wondering if there is a solution for his factory since the people in the Factory cannot hear the rining!

It might be possible to have analogue lines instead and connected to a third party ringer or lamp.

could you please give me a list of third parties if possible.

please advice

Good day

Hi Wissam,

We use the Stinger Ringer (Model 196) from Dees Communications. You will need an Analog port off a VG or ATA to power this device.This thing is super loud and works well for us. Here is an excerpt from the documentation;

The Stinger Ringer cuts through the noise of any environment with a powerful 110 dBA. Its intense signal is transmitted in all directions and reaches every corner of an industrial location or home.

The Stinger 90, Model 196, operates directly from Central Office power. It has a modular plug that connects right into a standard telephone wall jack. This unit is equipped with a three position volume switch (hi - med - low).

Here is a link to the actual doc:

Hope this helps!

Hi Wissam,

I don't see why a FXS port wouldn't work just fine. If the ring voltage is enough to ring an Analog Phone it should be enough to trigger the External Dees Ringer. We have only tried ATA and VG248 ports :)

Hope this helps!

Rob

PS: Don't forget to start the Stinger off at the Low setting esepecially when testing in the lab!
