Hi everybody,

I’ve a problem with my FXS config. I’ve a 2911 router and I want to connect two fax .

This my current config:

voice-port 0/2/0

     timeouts interdigit 5

     description FXS PORT 0

     caller-id enable

!

voice-port 0/2/1

      timeouts interdigit 5

      description FXS PORT 1

      caller-id enable

!

!

dial-peer voice 1 pots

      destination-pattern 219

      port 0/2/0

!

dial-peer voice 2 pots

      destination-pattern 220

      port 0/2/1

!

My question is, why I don’t receive the caller-id on my fax/phone. I’ve an other problem, I haven’t the end tone (the tone that we can hear when a phone ring off). I’ve the same problem on my IP Phones.

Can you help me please ?

Kirk

No idea ?

Could you help me please

add

answer-address 219

and

answer-address 220

on the applicable ports.

Edit: Good Lord my answer has absolutely nothing to do with your question. I am not sure what I thought I read. I was working on some paging while posting and must have confused the two.

Anyway.........what are the incoming numbers coming in on? FXO ports or a PRI?

Thanks for your reply.

You want to know what is the phone number displayed?

I haven't FXO ports so i think it's PRI but i'm not sure about this

Kirk.

EDIT: For the dialtone when a phone hangs up, the command for the fxs port is "tone dialtone remote-onhook". This command is on default setting and i haven't again this dialtone. What is the problem? (My ipphones have the same problem...Why?)

Is it possible to define the same phone number on two FXS ports?

issue the command "show isdn status", what do you get?

Sorry for this late

it doesn't work!

IOS 15.1 (this command is not recognized)

Hi;

Try applying:

cptone (followed by country code i.e. GB for the UK) to the analogue voice ports.

As for the IP Phones if you post the e-phone and ephone-dn configurations I may be able to assist there also.

Hope this works for you I have this set on my FXS port.
