Security Scan causes phone to reboot and lose settings

Our secuitry team ran a security scan (Nexpose Rapid 7) and when that scan hit our phones it caused the phones to begin rebooting and when the scan finished and the phones finally came back the phones had lost their background and ringtone presonallized settings.  Any body have a clue why this would have happened.  We have opened a TAC case but have not gotten any findings back.

You're probably hitting CSCuc76335.  When the phone cores due to that, the ITL is also deleted causing secure services to not work until rebooting the phone.

This happens any time the secure library is used so SSH will do it as well sometimes.

Thanks for the information.  I will investigate this.

Does this affect all 7900 phones?  I got the firmware and upgrade the 7965 phones but does it also affect 7962, 7942, etc phones?

Re: Security Scan causes phone to reboot and lose settings

Billy,

That bug will affect most of the 79XX series.  Any of them supporting TVS such as 7941,7942,7945,7961,7962,7965,7970, etc.  The 7940/7960 would not be affected by that bug.

Thanks,

Brian Meade
