Hello,

Is it possible for a number of devices to have separate music on hold to everyone else?  These devices are in a separate Device Pool.

Don't configure anyone else with that MOH music under any of the 4 levels where MOH music can be configured, in priority:

Line

Device

Common Device Config

Enterprise parameter

Bear in mind that the guy that presses hold, is the one that chooses what you'll hear, the MRGL from the guy who is being put on hold, determines from where he'll get the MOH, with that in mind, what's the exact behavior you want?

Yes, Person A in the Swanky Office presses hold and the caller gets choral music.

I need to know how to get the choral music in the right place so anyone who calls the Swanky Office gets the choral music.

Make sure the MOH server has the MOH file, and is part of the MRGL assigned to the phones that need to hear that music.

But how do I make sure that only phones in Swanky Office send out choral music and nothing else?

And how do I make sure no-one else in the Plebby offices sends out the choral music?

Thanks

So to clarify;

I can either edit each line or device, which could be very time consuming.

Or I could set up a Common Device Config and apply it to each device.

or I could change the Enterprise parameters and then everyone would get it?

Is that right?

And the MGRL means that there is a choice of music which could be used?

Correct, you configure them and they have that priority.

About MRGL, read here
