Service script answer on all dial-peers

Hello,

This is a basic question.

We've a router with a VIC2-2BRI interface.

If I configure the ports like this:

------------------------------------

voice-port 2/0

translation-profile incoming filter1

output attenuation -5

compand-type a-law

timeouts interdigit 2

connection plar 200

bearer-cap Speech

!

voice-port 2/1

translation-profile incoming filter1

output attenuation -5

compand-type a-law

timeouts interdigit 2

connection plar 400

bearer-cap Speech

dial-peer voice 1 pots

destination-pattern 0T

direct-inward-dial

port 2/0

!

dial-peer voice 2 pots

destination-pattern 0T

direct-inward-dial

port 2/1

------------------------------------

everything works right; If I call the telephone number associated to the first BRI ISDN port the telephone associated to the 200 number rings and if I call the telephone number associated to the second BRI ISDN port, the telephone associated to the 400 number rings.

The problem is this: if I enable the "service" command on the "dial-peer voice 2 pots", the service doesn't "answer" at all.

------------------------------------

dial-peer voice 2 pots

service script1

destination-pattern 0T

direct-inward-dial

port 2/1

------------------------------------

And If I enable the service command on the first dial-peer "dial-peer voice 1 pots" it answer to all the lines!

Can you help me in order to make the service answer only to the first voice port?

Thanks.

Which IOS? Have you tried using "incoming-called number" into the dial-peers?

Hope this helps, if so please rate post!

Thank you for the rating. See:

At some point in the above document, you will read:

Step 4 (voice-port) is not applicable to voice or dial platforms such as AS5300, AS5350, AS5400, AS5800 and AS5850

I think that because BRI is a digital port, it falls into the case above.
