Service URL access issue

Hello,

I've a strange issue for a few days : I can't access to service URL from all the 7912 (no problem with 7940). When I want to access to services, the phone get stuck in searching state, get frozen and need to be restarted. I've upgraded to the last firmware version (8.0(2)) but still impossible to access to services.

I get the following error in event viewer for a lot of 7912 (I get one of this kind of message every 20 seconds) :

Error: DeviceTransientConnection - Transient connection attempt.

Connecting Port: 0

Device name [Optional].:

Device IP address.: 10.232.4.119

Device type. [Optional]: 255

Reason Code [Optional].: 6

App ID: Cisco CallManager

Cluster ID: StandAloneCluster

Node ID: PUBLISHER

Explanation: A connection was established and immediately dropped before completing registration. Incomplete registration may indicate a device is rehoming in the middle of registration. The alarm could also indicate a device misconfiguration, database error, or an illegal/unknown device trying to attempt a connection.

Recommended Action: No action is required if this event was issued as a result of a normal device rehome..

Any idea?

Thanking you in advance

Regards

Benjamin

Re: Service URL access issue

Accessing the service URL has noting to do with the error you are posting. Use a sniffer on your 7912 to see where exactly the phone is having problem.

Re: Service URL access issue

Hi,

After sniffing the traffic, here's what I got between Ip phone and CCM:

-> Ack

<- Syn

-> SynAck

-> get /ccmcip/getservicesmenu.asp[...] HTTP/1.1

<- Ack

<- HTTP/1.1 200 OK

<- Continuation or non HTTP traffic

Until now everything is normal but after I get the following :

-> TCP ZeroWindow

Followed by a sequence of :

-> FinAck

-> FinAck

-> FinAck

...

It seems the TCP ZeroWindow means the buffer of the 7912 is full.

Any idea about that sequence?

Regards

Benjamin
