Setting up SRST - PRI

need advice on setting up SRST on an MGCP GW, PRI is backhauled to CCM

Will be upgrading customer from CCM 4.2 to 6.1 tomorrow, looking at his router, he was never set up for SRST, 2811 router. Customer wants SRST to be up while we do the upgrade.

will be using the service alternate default command, and access-code pri 9

do I need to create dial-peers for in/outbound calls?

also, can I do a translation pattern to turn the inbound DNIS 5000 to internal 101 like this

translation-rule 1

Rule 1 ^5000 101

or should I use the alias command?

Re: Setting up SRST - PRI

Yes you can have SRST on an MGCP gateway as follows: http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/sw/voicesw/ps2169/products_configuration_guide_chapter09186a0080557e3a.html

I've never set up SRST on an MGCP gateway though as if running SRST I always make the gateway H323. That way it keeps configuration simpler and you can easily use the alias commands to route inbound calls.
