Re: sh call active voice compact

I'm running 12.4.10a on a 2811. When I run sh call active voice com, the second column isn't intuitive.

The router labels the incoming leg as "ANS" and the outgoing leg as "ORG".

If a person calls from the local gateway to a remote gateway, the command output lables the pots leg (incoming) as "ANS". If a person calls the local gateway from the remote gateway, the output labels the voip leg (incoming) as "ANS".

It's confusing because I would expect the incoming call leg to be "ORG" for originate, and the outgoing leg to be "ANS" for Answer. However, this is not the case.

Re: sh call active voice compact

James,

so if you saw

ans tele

org voip p 1.1.1.1

org voip p 1.1.1.2

org tele

does this mean that 4 fxo ports are tied up?

Re: sh call active voice compact

Tele = Pots call leg = the side the phone is on

VoIP = VoIP call leg = the side the IP network is on
