Shared DNs

Hi All,

CCM ver 4.1.3(sr5)

Issue: Configured 03 DNs on 03 devices, but allowing only one DN on each device with appropriate CSS, but as soon as CSS is applied (without selecting "Update Directory Number of All Devices sharing this line") its applied on all devices.

Any suggestions

Re: Shared DNs

Hi

same DN in the same partition will be a shared line and you cannot assign them two different calling search spaces.

you may change the route partition for each DN to acheive your goal.

Re: Shared DNs

Hi Sohail,

This is working as designed and cannot be configured as you desire :( Have a look at this clip;

If you change the Calling Search Space or Call Forward and Pickup settings on any device that uses the shared line, the changes apply to all devices that use that shared line.

From this good doc;

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/sw/voicesw/ps556/products_administration_guide_chapter09186a00803edb46.html#wp1026720

You will need to apply the same CSS for the "Shared Line" appearances and perhaps setup a "Private Line" on each of the 3 phones that does allow dial out calls.

Hope this helps!

Rob
