shared line not ringing randomly

Hi ,

We have an issue where 4 phones are configured and one is the boss's  phone other 3 are subordinates, Boss's extension is shared on all the other 3 phones. and a call on boss's phone should ring on other 3 as well, and it rings successfully simultaneously on the other two. except for a third one.. all the phones have a a max trigger of atleast 6/2 or at the very least 4/2.

But the issue is only faced by only that single phone which is a 7961 model. The other 3 are 7962 and a 7961.

All the calling search space and partitions are fine.

CCM VERSION : 6.1.3

. What should be the steps to isolate the issue, can some one guide,

PHONE A --- Boss -- 7962

PHONE B --  subordinate 1 -- 7961 ..facing the issue

PHONE C  --  "" sub...2 --- 7962 -- no issues

PHONE D  -- " sub 3--- 7963

Hi Abhishek,

It's a Cisco "Best Practice" to set the Max Calls and Busy Trigger

on shared lines identically;

"Cisco recommends that the same value be configured for the maximum number of calls for all shared-line MCID devices."

I would set all phones to 6/3 as a first step, then try another set of tests
