Simulation of PBX, home lab

Hi,

Sorry if this is a stupid question, but

what type of device could be used to simulate a 'PBX' in a home lab environment?

In my CVOICE training we used a 3810, but I am wondering whether I could make a C2610 router configured as a PBX? What would it take?

Re: Simulation of PBX, home lab

Sure, depending on what you want your simulated PBX to do. There is a single network module slot, so you could use a NM-2V with FXS VICs . You could plug an analog phone into one port, and connect one to a FXO on another router.
