Hi,
I am trying to initiate a "PickUp" from a Third party (Basic) SIP phone, which ends up sending a SUBSCRIBE message to the CallManager 6.
The reply from CM6 is as above.
Does this mean that this capability is not supported for "Basic" SIP phones ?
Or is it another CM feature that needs licensing ??
Any pointers would be highly appriciated.
Thanks

From the Features and Services Guide:
"Call pickup notification, audio, and visual alert only supports licensed, third-party SIP phones."
Sounds like the SIP Phone is not meeting this requirement.

Thanks,
So I take it this means only "Cisco" SIP phones are "licensed" ?
Do you know what "license" are they talking about anyway ?
I assume that its perhaps interoarability with SIP extensions, that are licensed currently only to "Cisco"
Thanks

I am not totally sure, but I think it has to do with the way the SIP Phone interoperates with the CUCM; and not any type of DLU, license file, etc.

I read in some article that RIM (Blackberry) and Nokia are looking to put SIP softphones on their handsets, which would interop with CM.
My guess is, these are the only "licensed" SIP phones.
