SIP PHONE - SIP SRST Registration Issue

Oswaldo Torres

Hello, we are running a CUCM 8.5 cluster and we have a Cisco 2901.

The 2901 is our SRST Reference (SRST Reference = Use Default Gateway)

We have SCCP Phones and SIP Phones (9951) in that site (same subnet)

The SCCP Phone and they register fine, but the SIP Phones not, when we are in SRST mode.

When I run a wireshark to see if the Phones send register to the GW, I see that, but in the C2901, we don't see anything in the debug.

To configure SIP SRST we read and apply the next:

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/cusrst/admin/sccp_sip_srst/configuration/guide/srst_setting_up_using_sip.htm

https://supportforums.cisco.com/message/3567105#3567105

We attach:

show debug

show run

show voice register global

Trace in pcap

Can anyone shed some ideas, of how can i resolve thtat...?

Hi Oswaldo,

add " max-dn X" under "voice register global" section.

It should resolve the issue.

Cheers,

Boris

Hi Oswaldo,

add " max-dn X" under "voice register global" section.

It should resolve the issue.

Cheers,

We apply that

voice register global

max-dn 10

The IP Phone still unregistered, then we apply reload, and work.

We make a Call from SCCP Phone to SIP Phone and viceversa.

We attach this files only for reference:

- Debug  and pcap

Boris, tks twice today.

Hi when you mention about apply reload,

do you mean you reload the VG? or reload in sip srst config?
