Sip phone with UC560 / CME

Hi,

I have registered a Polycom IP Soundstation 5000 SIP phone with a UC560 (CME) system.

Internal calls work in both directions.

External calls work inbound but not outbound.

I ran "debug voip ccapi inout" and found that the dialed number has "ABCD" put in front of it:

I can see the following translation rules which I believe are responsible. They are built in as part of CUE but I'm not sure what they are for:

voice translation-rule 411
 rule 1 /^9\(.*\)/ /ABCD9\1/
!
voice translation-rule 412
 rule 1 /^ABCD\(.*\)/ /\1/
!
voice translation-rule 422
 rule 1 /^ABCD909[01]......../ //
 rule 2 /^ABCD9090[89]......./ //
 rule 3 /^ABCD9098\(.*\)/ //
 rule 15 /^ABCD\(.*\)/ /\1/

 ===

 voice translation-profile SIP_Incoming
 translate called 411
!
voice translation-profile SIP_Passthrough
 translate called 412
!
voice translation-profile SIP_Passthrough_CallBlocking
 translate called 422

===

How can I avoid outbound calls from the SIP phone from hitting these rules or is there something else going on which I'm not aware of?

Thanks

Kindly send us the running configuration of the CME so that we can see where the translation profiles are applied and from where it is getting invoked.

thanks that worked.im a bit

thanks that worked.

im a bit concerned about what this code does though. according to another post:

https://supportforums.cisco.com/discussion/11282411/voice-source-group-ccasipsourcegroupcuecme

"This is a bit of a hack.

There's an incoming dial-peer on the router which matches all incoming calls (unless a specific DID has been configured) and rejects the call. The dial-peer has "permission term" configured. This is part of the toll fraud / anti loop mechanism which configured the router to only accept incoming calls placed to numbers which are configured on the system.

Remembering that the Unity module is a separate SIP UA, calls from CUE destined to PSTN would fail because of this, so what they've done is prefix incoming calls from networks described by access-list 2 (i.e. the CUE module) with ABCD. We then have an incoming dial-peer which matches calls starting ABCD, this is removed and the call is successful."

Why would unity need to call the PSTN?

Voicemail seems to be working.

i think if you use CCA , it

i think if you use CCA , it configures those xlation rules for some reason
