SIP trunk between CME and CUCM

Hi all,

I am currently searching for a solution to connect a CME and CUCM via a SIP trunk.

Call setup is already working but RTP does not, because there is no direct, routed

connection between the phone IP ranges on the CME and CUCM side.

Is there a way to configure the SIP trunk to always use the CME router, which has

a routed connection on one interface to the CUCM, to stay in the path for RTP ?

IP phones (10.20.10.0/24) ->   [Gig0/0-10.20.10.1  CME   Gig0/1-10.20.10.1]  <---- SIP trunk ---->  CUCM  <--->  IP phones (172.16.100.0/23)

there is no route available from 10.20.10.0/24 to 172.16.100.0/23

Is this setup actually possible ?

Thank you for your kind help

best regards

Andreas

SIP trunk between CME and CUCM

Hi all,

to answer my own question :-)

Yes it is working, I had a missconfiguration in CUCM trunk setup.  (MTP required was set)

Now everythink works like a charm.

Thanks

best regards

Andreas
