SIP Trunk for Cross Cluster Dialing

I have a CUCM cluster in the US and another in the EU running CUCM 8.5.1 and 8.6.2 respectively.  I have built a SIP trunk on both ends and I can make calls from the US cluster to the EU cluster, but not the EU to the US.  I have run DNA on both clusters and it seems as though the call should be working, but it is not.

Is there another trace I can run to see the SIP call end to end in an effort to see where the call is getting dropped?

Ah, I believe the issue is because the Source IP address of the call does not exist as a SIP trunk in CUCM. Did you add all your publisher/subscriber IP addresses on the SIP trunk? Load balancing is a different conversation but want to make sure that CUCM doesnt reject the call since the calls are coming from an "unknown" IP address.

You can enable detailed CallManager traces and see what is going on.

How do I do that?

SIP Trunk for Cross Cluster Dialing

First you have to set the trace. Please read up on it and set the CallManager trace to Detailed. This should be turned back to Error after you finish troubleshooting:

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/cucm/service/8_5_1/admin/satrades.html

Then you can use RTMT to collect the traces. Go to System>Tools>Trace>Trace and Log Central.  Look at File Collection or Remote Browse.  Remote browse means you can browse the traces that are stored on the server.  File Collection means you can download the files locally and figure things out.

While I was waiting for your reply I fired up RTMT and did a real time trace and tried the call again and can see that I am getting a 503 error.  Here's the log:

That was it.  I only put the publisher and one of the subscribers.  The subscriber that my test phone was registered to was not on the list.  Thank you for helping with this, I was going crazy!
