SIP Trunk: is there any way to change Codec Priority in CUCM
I do not believe so. CUCM would not choose u-law if the far-end PBX did not offer it in it's SDP though. What's the motivating reason for a-law?
If you really want to get to a-law and cannot disable u-law on the far-end PBX you would need to insert CUBE between the two systems. You can use the voice class codec on the SIP dial-peers to restrict the codec offerings.
