SIP trunk issue with the provider

Hello,

I have a cme with sccp phones and a sip trunk.

The sip trunk provider is blocking the incomming calls and send me this log:

[Feb 17 09:48:39] NOTICE[5853]: chan_sip.c:24929 handle_request_register: Registration from '<sip:7640@10.8.225.10>' failed for '172.27.8.10:57740' - No matching peer found

[Feb 17 09:48:39] NOTICE[5853]: chan_sip.c:24929 handle_request_register: Registration from '<sip:7676@10.8.225.10>' failed for '172.27.8.10:57740' - No matching peer found

They said that it's an issue that I had to fix.

checking my debug ccsip messa.. I see that the first thing (at the startup) that all ephones-dn do is a registration with the provider sip server.

Im not sure if its a normal behaviour. can somebody help me to understand this.

Thanks

SIP trunk issue with the provider

please add no-reg on the ephone-dn after the number and check the behavior.

Ex:

ephone-dn  1  dual-line

number 102 no-reg both

I will try that and let you know,

Thanks for your help.

SIP trunk issue with the provider

When you run sh sip-ua register status you should only see the SIP account username, if you see your DN's then you need to make sure you specify for them to not register as Suresh had said.

This goes for non-sip dialpeers too I believe, if you have a dial-peer going out a FXO port for example you need to enter no sip-register to ensure the destination-pattern doesn't try to register.
