Slow SIP delay on bare bones ASA 5510 v8.2 with 1:1 mapping
Re: keeping SIP proxy on 1:1 mapping to WAN or pinouts for SIP ports only (getting delay)
SIP gateway is set 1:1 per se our IT guy. I think he's wrong. Here's why...
I have a ASA 5510 that I'm trying to troubleshoot if the inbound SIP delay is attributable. Calls come in and take up to 60 seconds to originate. Sometimes the ACK doesn't make it through, even.
SIP inspection turned on, of, then back on, no changes on original v 7.0(3) ASA, did upgrades to 7,2, 8.0, and now to 8.2 without impact to config. But the delay still persists.
Using a SIParator gateway configured correctly. The host server on the DMZ isn't getting the inbound request (sip proxy on dmz as well), while it has a 1:1 IP mapping. If I kept the IP mapping to SIP ports only, would that be the reason why?
