Soft Keys Not Working

I am implementing a Cisco Call Manager 4.1 using Cisco IP phone 7960. Some of the soft keys appear not to be working. The on hold key will not work at all, nor does the xfer. Also when a second call comes into the phone the answer key does not work. If the first call is cleared down while the second call is ring on the phone, then the answer key works.

Any ideas ?

Hi,

I assume this is not working for PSTN calls please confirm...

If using H323 GWs for incoming calls...please try unchecking MTP required checkbox in H323 GW config...

Check region between GW and MTP...

If using SW MTP...check G711 is configured between GW-MTP-IP Phone...

Does it work for internal IP to IP Phone calls?
