softphone RTP bandwidth stated wrong in QOS SRND?

Cisco QOS SRND states:Cisco SoftPhones can use regular G.711 codecs, in which case 128 kbps is

adequate, or they can be configured use a G.722 (wide codec), in which case 320 kbps is required.

Two questions:

1. As we know G711 uses 80K including IP, why would it say 128K?

2. I believe G722 uses the same bandwidth as G711 though it's called wide band. But why it says 320K?

Thanks

There is not a strict minimum bandwidth for Softphone, but it can use different codecs that require different amounts of bandwidth. You should make sure you are using g.729 and not g.711. Make sure that the region associated with the

device pool of the CTI port is configured for g.729 to all other regions, including its own region. Also, there is a checkbox for "Always use low bandwidth codec" in the Audio Settings.
