Software MTPs are supported on the router only if the dsp services dspfarm command is not enabled on the voice card.
I thought software MTP actually is from CCM, like CCM to be a conference resource.
So, how does software MTP work using a router without DSP?

Hi CF,
This is just referencing an either/or situation. You are correct that Software Conference Bridges are setup on CCM itself so this is really just saying you don't need both configured.
Hope this makes sense!

Call Manager supports MTP's in software, using the CPU of the server.
However, so does an IOS router. It can either provide hardware MTP's through the DSP's or software MTP's through the IOS. This is what the document you reference is refering to.
eg:-
dspfarm profile 3 mtp
codec g711ulaw
maximum sessions software 500
associate application SCCP
